About

The laser cutter uses a high-powered laser to cut and etch various materials. Cutting is a fast process; etching is slower. Laser cutting is a two-dimensional technique. It cuts and etches flat materials. You can take the two dimensional pieces and form them into three dimensional structures, either by design (making the sides of a box that you will later fold) or by using software tools (123D Make) to dissect a 3D shape into 2D slices.
